As a humanitarian initiative, the Jordanian government has granted work permits for Syrian refugees living in Jordan. To foster greater self-reliance and independence, providing occupational skills through education and training will allow refugees and the displaced to provide for their families needs.
The Karisma Craft Training Centre focuses on sewing and handcraft training courses to equip the participants with the much-needed skills for them to pave their way into the relevant markets.
Target Participants: Women and girls aged 15 and above
Course: Sewing and Handcrafts
Duration: 2-3 months course
Total Beneficiaries: Not less than 850 refugees yearly
The KCTC will provide for a more sustainable future for women and young girls and allow for them to be self-reliant. By expanding their life skills, refugees will be able to contribute to their families, community, hosting country and their own nation in the future.
