While Malaysians were instructed to stay home, our frontliners were fighting a battle with the invisible enemy having little protection due to critically low supplies of Personal Protective Equipments (PPE). This exposed our medical team to dangers.
Days before the Movement Control Order was made by the Prime Minister, the KHOM team started making calls to PPE suppliers in an effort to protect our national heroes.
The Karisma Humanitarian Outreach Mission (KHOM) team successfully assisted the Disaster Control Operation Unit of Kelantan securing and supplying the following items:
- 2000 protective head covers (hoods)
- 200 face shields
- 164 hand sanitizers
- 400 face masks
All goods were directly delivered to the ‘Cawangan Kawalan Penyakit’ located in Kelantan for distribution to hospitals treating COVID-19 patients.
